This is a Full-Time (at least 30-40 hours per week, $ hourly rate) position with S&S Collab Ltd, a permanent position for a business located in Hawkes Bay. An exciting opportunity has been created for a highly professional Manager to lead our team. You will have a true passion for hospitality and for delivering excellent customer service. This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities and an exciting challenge in operating Motel facilities.


The role of the Motel Manager will suit a person who wants to be hands-on in the day-to-day operation, but who is also highly capable of leading a team and getting the most out of others through positive workplace culture and strong leadership skills. The focus of this role is to deliver great services, manage the budget, create high occupancy, and promote what we do externally.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

Should have 5-6 years of relevant experience OR at least Level 4 or higher Qualification.
Be flexible towards working hours.
Mature, responsible, can work under pressure.
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Pass the Drug Test (No alcohol No smoking)
Able to relocate and live in the Motel accommodation


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and direct the motel business to provide customers with excellent service and
    accommodation; plan events or functions; manage all working staff and oversee any issues.
  • Oversee and work in all aspect daily and have a complete understanding of all job duties.
  • Take client bookings for rooms and on local tours and attractions
  • Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the complex is in proper working order inside and outside.
  • Ensure that staff is working properly and neat in appearance.
  • Hire, train and manage staff
  • Greet customers and check them in for their stay, ensure that all customer satisfaction objectives are met by monitoring and evaluating the quality of service based on the customer feedback
  • Managing websites and channel manager
  • Send invoices and reply all emails
  • Attend to all cleaning and ironing or washing requirements
  • Ensure that health and safety requirements are met
  • Organize and co-ordinate events 
  • Market the establishment.
  • Stock-take, order all needed things for the housekeeping and motel.
  • Carry out inspection of maintenance, supplies, renovations, furnishings and security issues.
