We are looking for a passionate and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team and ensure exceptional dining experiences for our guests!

About the role:

  • This is a permanent full-time role based in Auckland City.
  • Guaranteed minimum hours: 30 per week. Maximum hours: 40 per week.
  • Pay rate: $31.50 – $33.50 per hour, depending on experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and design creative menus in close consultation with our Chefs
  • Organize and coordinate special functions, banquets, and private events
  • Manage purchasing, supplier relationships, and pricing to meet budget targets
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels and financial transactions
  • Ensure the dining facilities are always clean, safe, compliant with health & hygiene regulations, and visually appealing
  • Regularly engage with customers to gather feedback and ensure high satisfaction with food and service
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and supervise both front-of-house (waiting staff) and back-of-house (kitchen) teams
  • Handle reservations, warmly greet guests, and assist with order-taking when needed

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has 2 years of relevant experience in a restaurant setting, ideally in Chinese cuisine
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to speak and understand Chinese language
  • Proven ability to thrive in a high-volume environment
  • Is hands-on, detail-oriented, and customer-focused
  • Has good knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and inventory management
  • Is energetic, positive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
