Position: Inbound Tour Operator
Wage: $25.00 hourly rate
Hours of work: Minimum 30 hours per week, Maximum 48 hours per week, shifted by
roster from Monday to Friday.
GSN Pacific Ltd is an inbound travel agency specialising in New Zealand tourism products. We are seeking TWO dedicated and detail-oriented Inbound Tour Operators to support our growing inbound markets, particularly clients from Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, China and India. This role focuses on coordinating comprehensive travel arrangements and delivering culturally appropriate, high-quality travel experiences tailored to diverse international clients.
Skills & Experience Required

At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in the tourism, travel, or hospitality industry AND a relevant tertiary qualification

Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant industry

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines independently

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Competency in computer systems and inbound booking platforms

Fluency in written and spoken English is required

Mandarin Chinese language skills are highly advantageous due to business communication needs with Malaysian and China clients

Full NZ driver licence with no restriction

Key Responsibilities

Liaise with international inbound clients to understand travel requirements, preferences, and budgets

Design detailed and customised itineraries for group and FIT travellers

Arrange and book accommodation, transport, restaurants, attractions, and activities

Prepare quotations and issue invoices accurately and in a timely manner

Monitor, manage, and control travel budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness while meeting client expectations

Adjust itineraries flexibly in response to budget changes, availability, or client requests

Coordinate closely with hotels, transport providers, restaurants, and local tour operators

Ensure itineraries meet clients’ cultural expectations and dietary requirements

Handle changes, cancellations, and unexpected travel issues professionally

Prepare confirmations, vouchers, and travel documentation

Deliver high-quality customer service before, during, and after travel

Willingness and ability to work overtime and be on call outside of normal working hours

Assist and supervise junior staff to resolve issues and monitor their work
