We are currently seeking to motivated Cafe Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy café. This role is critical to ensuring efficient operations, high-quality food and service, and a welcoming customer experience while meeting business and compliance requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the cafe, including opening and closing procedures
• Recruit, train, supervise, roster, and manage cafe staffs
• Prepare staff rosters, ensure adequate coverage during peak periods, and accurately record staff hours
• Develop and implement efficient operational procedures to maximise productivity and minimise wastage
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, ingredients, and equipment, and ensure stock availability
• Arrange purchasing and pricing of goods in line with budget and profitability targets
• Manage cash handling, POS transactions, daily reconciliation, and banking
• Manage cafe finances including budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation
• Oversee food and beverage preparation and presentation to ensure quality and consistency
• Ensure display cabinets are well-stocked, visually appealing, and minimise items selling out
• Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly
• Plan menus in consultation with chefs and coordinate daily production requirements
• Plan and organise special functions, promotions, and events as required
• Ensure compliance with Employment, Health & Safety, and food safety legislation at all times

Person Specification

• Relevant Diploma Level 5 qualification or at least two years of relevant work experience
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• Sound numerical skills with the ability to manage budgets and control costs
• Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work effectively under pressure
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work weekends and public holidays as required
