Bao Baby Bao is one of the best Asian fusion restaurants in the heart of Auckland is in need of a Cook to join a fantastic team of driven individuals who are doing what they love.

Position Title: Cook

Location: Auckland Centre, Auckland

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours of Work: Minimum 35 hours per week. maximum 45 hours each week. Monday to Sunday, between the hours of 10:00 am – 10:00 pm

Remuneration: $24.00-26.00 per hour.

About the Role

-       Process a variety of food with a set of techniques including marinating,

-       seasoning, spicing, mixing, mincing, dicing, slicing, stuffing, kneading, etc.

-       Cook food using different methods including boiling, frying, steaming

-       Store food according to specified temperature requirements.

-       Manage portion control and wastage

-       Always wear PPE at work and personal protection equipment such as musk, gloves, and hat at work

-       Clean kitchen using heavy-duty detergent

-       May assist with moving and stacking food supplies

About you

-       At least two year of relevant experience OR

-       Diploma in Cookery OR

-       A Bachelor’s degree in any subject area may be accepted

-       Be an individual who enjoys coaching, mentoring, and developing teams.

-       Have a passion for cooking.

-       Relevant cooking experience is preferred, but not mandatory as the training will be provided.
