Restaurant Manager – Full Time
Weekly hours: Minimum 35 hours
Hourly pay: $33 - $38
Location: Tuakau, Waikato

We are looking for a well experienced full-time Restaurant Manager to lead the daily operations of our two venues with restaurants in Tuakau. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being involved in both front-of-house operations and behind-the-scenes management.

About the Role

As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the restaurant while maintaining high standards of food, service and customer experience. You will work closely with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to deliver consistent quality and efficient service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations

  • Working with the Chef to plan menus and seasonal offerings

  • Organising and coordinating functions and special events

  • Managing ordering, pricing and stock control within budget

  • Monitoring stock levels and maintaining accurate records

  • Ensuring all health, safety and hygiene standards are met at all times

  • Maintaining a clean, welcoming and well-presented dining environment

  • Recruiting, training, supervising and rostering staff

  • Leading the team to deliver excellent customer service

  • Handling customer enquiries, feedback and reservations

  • Assisting with front-of-house service when required

Skills & Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of three years of relevant work experience in a restaurant venue.

  • A Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ)

  • A current Manager’s Certificate

  • Strong leadership and people management skills

  • Good understanding of food safety, compliance and operational requirements

  • Ability to manage staff, budgets and daily operations effectively

Additional Requirements

  • Must have own transport and a valid New Zealand driver’s licence

  • Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
