Watson Home Bakery is seeking an experienced Baker to join our team.

About the role

This position isa full-time permanent role with a minimum of 30 hours work per week, rostered between Monday to Sunday. 

Our Bakery is located in Avondale, Auckland and open 7 days a week and the successful candidate must be available to work during weekends.

Primary Responsibilites 

  • Routinely check quality of raw ingredients
  • Measure and mix ingredients for various pastries and confectionary 
  • Bake a wide variety of items including bread, rolls, cakes, cookies, pastries and donuts
  • Prepare custards, sauces, chocolates, muffins and sandwiches 
  • Understanding of and adhereence to food safety, and health and safety principles 
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures 

Requirements 

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience as this is not an entry level role
  • The ability to start work at 4.30am is essential 
  • Work as a team player with honesty and integrity 
  • Good communication 
  • A positive attitude and ability to follow company policies
