AOG TOURISM LTD is a hospitality business based in Dunedin, providing affordable accommodation to both domestic and international guests. We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Motel Manager to oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure efficient and compliant motel management.
This position requires a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week, worked on a rostered basis, including weekends and public holidays as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the motel, including bookings, reception services, housekeeping, and guest support.
- Oversee building upkeep, shared areas, and security arrangements to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment.
- Coordinate in-house guest services and assist with group bookings or small functions when required.
- Ensure the business operates in compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Monitor guest experience, address concerns or complaints promptly, and maintain consistent service standards.
- Oversee financial and administrative functions, including budgeting, invoicing, payroll support, purchasing, and stock control.
- Provide guests with local travel and tourism information and assist with arranging transport or tours as needed.
- Recruit, train, roster, and supervise staff to ensure efficient operations and high levels of customer service.
About you
- At least three years of relevant industrial work experience, or
- Relevant NZQCF Diploma or above qualification, majoring in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, Business Management, or Business Administration
- Physically fit with a clear criminal record
