Lovely Foods Private Ltd., trading as Curry Garden is seeking a presentable, professional Restaurant Manager for its well-established Indian restaurant at Thorndon, Wellington. The candidate shall be a New Zealand citizen, resident, or holder of an open work visa, with at least three years' work experience in Indian cuisine as a restaurant manager or a minimum relevant qualification NZQCF Level 5-6 or more. 

Full-time position 30-35 hours/week

Pay rate: $28-$35/h, and overtime at the same pay rate.

Wages will be paid into their nominated bank account weekly.

Working hours: Lunch:11:30 am -2:30 pm and Dinner: 4:30 pm -9:30 pm, including with weekends' availability as flexibly required

Duties:

Planning menus in consultation with Chefs;

planning and organising special functions;

arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget; 

maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions;

ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance;

conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service;

selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff;

may take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders.
