We are an established seafood processing company based in Auckland, supplying high-quality seafood products to both domestic and international markets. Due to business growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Seafood Processing Supervisor to join our production team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily seafood processing operations
  • Lead and manage production staff to ensure efficiency and productivity
  • Monitor processing activities to ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with New Zealand food safety regulations, including MPI and Health & Safety requirements
  • Train, mentor, and support processing staff
  • Maintain production records and reports
  • Identify and resolve operational issues on the production floor
  • Ensure safe use of machinery and equipment
  • Liaise with management to meet production targets and deadlines

Skills and Experience Required

  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience in seafood or food processing, including supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of seafood processing operations and quality control
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP preferred)
  • Proven ability to supervise and motivate a team
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically fit and able to work in a cold processing environment

Qualifications

  • A relevant qualification in food processing, seafood processing, or a related field is preferred but not essential
  • On-the-job experience may substitute for formal qualifications
