Moxi Cafe in Ohope, Whakatane is looking for a full time cleaner.  

Moxi Cafe operates seven days a week for both breakfast and lunch.  

The role will be between 30 and 40 hours per week, to be negotiated with the successful candidate. An hourly wage of $26.00 will be the successful applicant’s starting point. 

Requirements for this role: 

At least two years of relevant work experience (as a commercial cleaner or similar) 

Description of role: 

  • Operate commercial grade cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers and pressure washers 

  • Removes rubbish and waste materials from cafe/ kitchen area 

  • Dusts, polishes and disinfects furniture, fixtures and surfaces 

  • Sweeps, mops and vacuums floors 

  • Clean internal and external windows, mirrors and other glass surfaces 

  • Maintains and organises cleaning equipment and supplies 

  • Reports any maintenance or repair needs, or diminished supplies to manager 

  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines while performing cleaning tasks 

  • Keep external surfaces of building clean / tidy 

  • Ensure that kitchen surfaces and equipment are disinfected / cleaned frequently
