Moxi Cafe in Ohope is seeking an experienced wait staff for the front of house  

An experienced front of house waiter / waitress (with at least two years of relevant work experience) is required for a busy cafe in Ohope, Whakatane.  

Moxi operates seven days a week for breakfast and lunch. The business requires an additional front of house employee.   

The role will be between 30 and 40 hours per week, to be negotiated with the successful candidate. An hourly wage of $25.00 will be the successful applicant’s starting point.  

Key Responsibilities: 

Greet customers warmly and create a positive first impression 

Take food and drink orders accurately 

Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner 

Handle cash and card payments using the till system 

Clear tables and maintain cleanliness of the dining area 

Assist with setting up and closing down the café 

Respond to customer queries and resolve issues politely 

Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards 

Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations 

Skills & Requirements: 

Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused attitude 

Good communication skills 

Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment 

Reliable and punctual 

Previous café or hospitality experience (at least two years) 

Flexible availability, including weekends as required
