PRs Cafe Westport Ltd [t/a Across the Road Cafe Franz Josef] is looking for an experienced Cafe Manager to lead day to day operations supporting high quality customer experiences. 

Minimum Requirements [must have one of the following]

At least 2 years relevant cafe/hospitality management experience; or

A relevant Level 4 [or higher] qualification  [ hospitality, business, management or similar]

Strong leadership and communication skills

Only NZ citizens or NZ residents may apply

Manage daily Cafe operations, workflow, opening/closing procedures and service standards

Lead staff, recruit, train, supervise, roster and manage attendance and performance

Manage budgets and cost controls, [labour, food and beverage, consumables] monitor margins and take corrective action

Oversee cash handling controls, reconcilliations and regular reporting [sales,costs,wastage, KPIs]

Manage suppliers and purchasing, control stock [ordering, par levels, stocktakes, rotation, waste tracking]

Maintain menu/cabinet food offering, seasonal specials and pricing reviews to meet margin targets

Ensure compliance with NZ food safety/hygiene, workplace health and safety and employment obligations [includingrequired logs'records]

Handle customer feedback, implement service improvements

Plan and organise catering, promotions or special events

Assist service during peak periods when needed [supporting only, role is primarily managerial]
