We are seeking dedicated Café Workers to join our hospitality team across multiple café and hospitality venues. This role focuses on customer service, food and beverage service and daily café operations, ensuring customers receive a welcoming and efficient dining experience.

Work Locations (Travel Required): Cafe Worker will be required to work across multiple sites located in different regions. Regular inter- regional travel is a mandatory part of this role. Work locations include:

  • 25 Perata Road, Pukekohe (Auckland Region) 

  • 131 Normanby Road, Paeroa (Waikato Region)

  • 2 Seymour Street, Paeroa (Waikato Region)

Please note: Travel between these regions is a core requirement of the position. Employees will receive at least 7 days' written notice prior to any change in their primary work location. If additional travel is required, reasonable transport costs will be reimbursed (e.g., mileage at IRD rates or public transport), or alternative travel arrangements may be provided by mutual agreement.

As a Cafe Worker, you are required to perform the following tasks and duties:-

  • Preparing and serving food and beverages for consumption on the premises

  • Taking customers’ food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently

  • Operating cash registers, accepting payments and processing sales

  • Clearing tables and removing used dishes and cutlery

  • Cleaning and preparing tables for the next service

  • Washing dishes, cutlery and café utensils

  • Cleaning café equipment such as coffee machines, grinders and food preparation areas

  • Assisting with stock handling, including unpacking and putting away supplies

  • Supporting other café staff during busy service periods

  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with food safety requirements

Skills & Experience Required

  • No formal qualification required

  • NZQF Level 1 qualification or compulsory secondary education

  • Hospitality or café experience is an advantage but not essential

  • Willingness to learn and undertake on-the-job training provided by the employer

  • Basic English communication skills sufficient to interact with customers and follow workplace instructions

  • Ability to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays

  • Ability to work across multiple locations when required

  • Pay rate between $23.50 – $25.00 per hour (depending on experience)
