We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our friendly team.
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning operations of the motel, ensuring all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation. The role also involves supervising housekeeping staff, coordinating room turnaround, and supporting the preparation of continental breakfast items when required.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily work of housekeeping staff
- Allocate rooms and cleaning tasks to team members
- Monitor staff performance and provide guidance where necessary
- Assist with recruitment and training of housekeeping staff
- Maintain staff rosters in coordination with management
- Inspect guest rooms after cleaning to ensure motel standards are met
- Ensure linen, towels, and amenities are properly stocked
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas and storage spaces
- Address cleaning-related guest feedback when required
- Assist with preparation and setup of continental breakfast items when required
- Ensure breakfast area is clean, stocked, and presentable
- Ensure cleaning procedures comply with health and safety requirements
- Promote safe work practices within the housekeeping team
Pay rate: Minimum $25/hour, Maximum $28/hour
Guaranteed hours of work per week: Minimum 30 hours, permanent full time
Requirements for the job:
Any qualification of Level 4 or above;
May work full time, and on weekends and holidays;
Flexibility for shift work;
No criminal record;
Candidates need to be NZ citizens/residents.
