Assistant Restaurant Manager - Queenstown

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our hospitality team in Queenstown.

 

This is a full-time position (minimum 30 hours per week) supporting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with daily restaurant operations
  • Supervising and training staff
  • Preparing staff rosters and managing shifts
  • Handling customer enquiries and complaints
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
  • Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering
  • Acting as Restaurant Manager in their absence

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in hospitality supervision or restaurant management
    OR
  • Diploma (Level 6) or higher qualification in Business Management, Commerce, Hospitality Management, or a related field
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
  • Knowledge of New Zealand food safety and workplace regulations
