Job Summary

Koru Oceans Fish N Chipsin Auckland providing dine-in and takeaway services. We are seeking an experienced and motivated full-time Restaurant Manager to organise and control the overall operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficient service delivery, food quality, and customer satisfaction. 

Our business operates 7 days a week from 11:30 am to 10:00 pm. The successful applicant may be required to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as part of a roster.

Key Tasks

  • Organise and control the overall daily operations of the restaurant, including dine-in and takeaway services

  • Plan and review menu offerings in consultation with kitchen staff to support food quality and cost control

  • Arrange purchasing, pricing, and stock control in accordance with budget requirements

  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, financial transactions, and daily sales

  • Monitor business performance and manage labour and operating costs

  • Recruit, select, train, and supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff

  • Prepare and manage staff rosters to ensure adequate staffing levels

  • Ensure compliance with New Zealand food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations

  • Maintain cleanliness, functionality, and presentation standards of the premises

  • Confer with customers to assess satisfaction and resolve enquiries or complaints

  • Liaise with suppliers and coordinate deliveries

Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following:

  • At least two years of relevant experience. OR hold a Level 4 Diploma (or higher) in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field;

    In addition, applicants must demonstrate:

  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

  • Ability to manage financial performance and operational efficiency

  • Knowledge of food safety and compliance requirements in New Zealand

Applicants must hold New Zealand residency or a valid NZ work visa.
