Multiple positions available

The primary role is the day-to-day running of the bakery department, ensuring that a maximum range & sufficient quantity of high-quality, freshly baked cakes are available.

Minimum of 2 years of baking experience in a retail bakery is preferred for this role ·   
Minimum 30 Hours and Maximum 40 Hours Guaranteed. NZ $ 25.00 to NZ $ 31.00 Per Hour.

Applicant must hold a New Zealand Residency or a valid New Zealand Work permit

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing frozen products for baking.
  • Mixing and baking require daily levels of all bakery products
  • Baking requires daily levels of Cakes and other products.
  • Responsible for the operation of the pastry/ Bakery section of the kitchen - including desserts, breads, and other baked goods.
  • Producing other bakery-specific products as required 
  • Other tasks across the store as required.
  • Ensure that recipes and proportions are strictly adhered to, to ensure consistency, quality, and cost control.
  • Order and maintain inventory for the pastry/ Bakery section to ensure efficient operations. 
  • Any other duties the Executive Baker/ Head Chef or Baker may reasonably require.
