Experienced Restaurant Manager required!

Restaurant manager position available immediately

Full time permanent

Your primary role will be to manage the restaurant at our establishment

Your role will see you work a variety of shifts including daytime, evening and weekends in the restaurant

You will be allocated shifts between 10am-11.30pm Monday to Sunday

you will work a minimum of 30 hours a week

Pay is $30.00 per hour

Standing proud on State Highway 2 at Katikati for more than 130 years, The Talisman Hotel Garden Bar and Bistro offers a delicious array of lunches and dinners along with an extensive selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Open 7 days a week, we pride ourselves on using only the freshest, locally sourced ingredients where possible. The Bistro offers a comfortable environment with a warm and inviting gas fire to keep you warm in the winter and in summer why not enjoy a relaxing drink outside in our beautiful Garden Bar.

We have a full-time position available immediately. Your primary responsibility will be to provide an exceptional level of service and knowledge to our customers. This role will see you working a variety of shifts including daytime, evening and weekends.

So what does it take to be successful in this role?

Previous experience in a fast-paced Bar or Restaurant

Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine/beer, cocktails

The ability to work a variety of shifts including daytime, evening and weekends

The ability to work well either in a team or on your own

Ability to successfully lead a team

Able to work alongside owner operators and Bar manager

Exceptional customer service skills

The ability to thrive under pressure

A can-do, positive attitude

Responsibilities:

? Ensure service is run in an effective manor to ensure customer satisfaction

. Provide the perfect service experience for every Guest

. Ensure the Guest feels important and welcome

. Ensure hot food is hot and cold food is cold

. Adhere to timing standards for products and services

. Look for ways to consolidate service and increase table turns

. Present menu, answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverage

. Serve the Guest in an accommodating manner

. Must know all food liquor, beer, wine and retail offered

. Apply positive suggestive sales approach to guide Guests

? Pre-bus tables; maintain table cleanliness, bus tables

. Looks for ways to avoid waste and limit costs

. Assist in keeping the restaurant clean and safe

- Provide responsible service of alcoholic beverages

. Deliver food and beverages to any table as needed

. Must follow all cash handling policies and procedures

. Report to property on time and in proper uniform

Must have 2 years experience in similar role.
