Our company is looking for a Cook for our food retail services in Auckland.

We offer an opportunity for growth and guarantee 30 hours working a week, pay rate is between $25 to $30/hour.

 

Your duties

  • ·      Contribute to menu planning and development, including suggesting new dishes and improvements based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • ·      Measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
  • ·      Prepare raw ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, marinating, and portioning.
  • ·      Cook using appropriate methods depends on the dishes
  • ·      Present, garnish, and arrange final dishes
  • ·      Accommodate customers' special requests, ensure timely completion of food orders, efficiently resolve problems with customers' orders
  • ·      Ensure food portions and presentation meet company standards
  • ·      Handle and store ingredients and food properly, store excess food at the correct temperature to avoid spoilage
  • ·      Train junior kitchen staff
  • ·      Monitor station inventory levels and re-order stock as needed
  • ·      Check the quality and freshness of ingredients.
  • ·      Maintain a clean and safe work area and sanitisation standard, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes
  • ·      Clean and sanitize work areas
  • ·      Execute opening and closing procedures

Our requirements:

·        Applicants must have at least have work experience in a similar role for 2 years or more

·        Familiar with authentic Asian cuisine and cooking method is preferable

·        Excellent time management in busy days and events and communication

·        Ability to stay calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.

·        Excellent personal hygiene.

·        Positive attitude, punctuality, and a genuine passion for food and hospitality.
