IR Hospitality Limited is seeking a skilled Venue Manager to join its team in Levin. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and leadership skills, with experience in bar operations, team management, and creating memorable experiences for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end bar operations, including keeping the liquor licence current, overseeing stock levels, negotiating supplier terms, and managing budgets to meet financial goals.
• Create and review operational budgets, pricing models, and cost-control measures to improve profitability and increase revenue.
• Hire, train, coach, and lead the team to deliver outstanding service while promoting a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise gaming, sporting, and entertainment events, including bookings and on-the-day delivery.
• Produce staff rosters, ensure adequate cover for busy periods, and handle staffing issues or conflicts promptly and professionally.
• Uphold high standards for product quality, customer safety, and legal compliance, including responsible alcohol service and health & safety
requirements.
• Maintain a lively, safe, and welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat patronage.
• Interact with customers on the floor—taking orders, resolving concerns, and ensuring an exceptional overall experience.
• Drive sales through effective food and beverage offerings, promotions, and upselling while keeping service efficient and consistent.
• Develop strong supplier partnerships to secure reliable supply, competitive pricing, and quality products through effective inventory control.
• Represent the brand at all times, ensuring the venue consistently reflects the organisation’s values, vision, and service standards.
The candidate will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $30 and $37 per hour.
Requirements:
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience or at least a relevant Level-5 qualifications.
• LCQ certificate and a valid Manager licence is required.
• Availability to work weekends and late evening shifts.
