Hoursperweek:guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours aweek, a maximum of 50 hours a week.
Hourlyrate:$32- $35 per hour


We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy buffet restaurant in North Shore.The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team, maintaining high standards of service, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily front-of-house and back-of house restaurant operations
  • Deliver superior customer service and maximise customer satisfaction
  • Respond efficiently and professionally to customercomplaints
  • Monitor food quality and liaise with suppliers
  • Organise and supervise staff shifts
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Forecast and manage stock levels and kitchen equipment
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
  • Maintain the restaurant's image and identify improvement opportunities
  • Monitor operational costs and implement waste reduction measures
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual revenue and cost reports
  • Promote the brand through local marketing andevents
  • Recommend promotions (e.g., discounts, sociamedia campaigns)
  • Train new and existing staff on service standards and policies
  • Develop and implement procedures to supportlong-term operations

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Have at least 2 years' relevant work experience in restaurant or hospitality management, OR have a relevant level 5 diploma in Business or Management
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with New Zealand food safety andemployment regulations
  • Teamwork-oriented and highly reliable
