Kate's long term client, a leading name in hospitals is seeking a clinically strong Theatre Team Leader to take ownership of its robotic gynaecology service within one of Wellington’s most advanced private hospital environments.
This Theatre Team Leader role is hands-on and clinically focused. You remain active in theatre while guiding your team, maintaining theatre flow, and ensuring safe, efficient robotic service delivery.

The Opportunity
As Theatre Team Leader – Operating Theatre (Gynaecology), you will:
• Lead robotic-assisted gynaecology surgery lists
• Coordinate da Vinci theatre set-up and workflow
• Maintain theatre efficiency and patient safety during complex cases
• Mentor and develop scrub and circulating nurses
• Partner directly with surgeons and anaesthetists
• Contribute to service improvement and robotic programme development
As Theatre Team Leader, you lead from the floor, set clinical standards, and influence outcomes.
What You Bring
• Registered Nurse with current NZ Nursing Council APC
• Minimum 5 years’ perioperative theatre experience
• Proven hands-on experience supporting or leading robotic surgery lists
• Gynaecology theatre background
• Previous Theatre leadership exposure
• Composure, clinical confidence and the ability to guide a team under pressure
Robotics experience is essential. You must be comfortable working within a da Vinci robotic environment.
What You Gain
• Salary up to $140,000 depending on experience
• Permanent 80 hours per fortnight
