Restaurant Manager

Dosa Vilas is a new and exiciting pure vegetarian Indian restaurant located on Stoddard Road.

We are looking for a superstar Restaurant Manager to help manage and oversee the restaurant operations along with the Chef owner who is managing the kitchen. 

This is a full time permanent position, the weekly hour of work may vary but we guarantee you at least 30 hours per week to be worked between Monday and Sunday, normally between 11am and 10pm.

The rate of pay offered is $28 to $30 per hour depending on experience

Your responsibilties:

• Taking a la carte order from the table and cooperate with the Chef regarding any particular dietary requirement of the customer order during the operation.
• Serving prepared dishes from the kitchen to the mentioned table number.
• Managing online orders as needed
• Allocate the table seating arrangement following the booking list.
• Arranging the buffet set up for the group booking and private party.
• Assisting the Owner (Chef) with the opening and closing procedure of restaurant.
• Maintaining the daily and weekly cleaning activities of the restaurant and bar.

You will need :

• A NZQF Diploma (or equivalent) or two to three years of relevant work experience in similar restaurant setting.
• Knowledge of all traditional Northern and Southern Indian cuisine and knowledge of different Indian dietary requirements.
• Knowledge of basic food handling and personal hygiene.
• Good communicational and organisational skills.
• The ability to work additional hours and under pressure.
• The ability to work lawfully in New Zealand.
