KAWAHA RESTAURANT LIMITED is looking for two Restaurant Duty Managers to support daily operations and deliver excellent customer service. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for running shifts smoothly, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with restaurant standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day restaurant operations during shifts

  • Supervise, train, and support front-of-house staff to maintain service quality

  • Manage bookings, table flow, and service efficiency in a busy environment

  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and food handling requirements

  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and receiving goods when required

  • Cash handling, end-of-shift reconciliation, and basic reporting

  • Support cleanliness, presentation, and overall guest experience standards

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in a similar role (Duty Manager / Supervisor / Assistant Manager)

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Customer-focused, reliable, and well-organised

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities

  • Flexible availability across rostered shifts

  • At least one year of relevant work experience in the hospitality industry is
    required, or a relevant qualification at NZQF Level 4 or higher. No specific
    major is required if the candidate holds a bachelor's degree or higher.
