Our Client in Masterton is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Pastry Chef / Baker ."
The primary role is the day-to-day running of the pastry and Bakery section, ensuring that a maximum range & sufficient quantity of high-quality, freshly baked cakes are available.
Minimum 2 years of previous baking experience, OR Level 4 Qualification.
Minimum 30 Hours and Maximum 45 Hours Guaranteed.
NZ $ 25.00 to NZ $ 31.00 Per Hour.
Applicant must hold a New Zealand Residency or a valid New Zealand Work permit
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparing frozen products for baking.
- Mixing and baking require daily levels of all bakery products
- Baking requires daily levels of Cakes and other products.
- Responsible for the operation of the pastry/ Bakery section of the kitchen - including desserts, breads, and other baked goods.
- Producing other bakery-specific products as required
- Other tasks across the store as required.
- Ensure that recipes and proportions are strictly adhered to, to ensure consistency, quality, and cost control.
- Order and maintain inventory for the pastry/ Bakery section to ensure efficient operations.
- Any other duties the Executive Baker/ Head Chef or Baker may reasonably require.
