Job description

  • Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients according to recipes.
  • Operate ovens and baking equipment, adjusting for variables to ensure consistent results.
  • Decorate and finish baked goods with frostings, glazes, and toppings.
  • Clean and maintain workstations and baking tools.
  • Manage inventory by ordering supplies and tracking ingredients.
  • Inspect baked goods for quality and taste-test as needed.
  • Develop or modify recipes for new products.
  • Provide customer service and answer questions about baked goods.
  • Train and supervise junior bakery staff.

An ideal candidate must have at least three year of work experience working in a professional kitchen or bakery, or a college level qualification with cooking and baking as main subjects.
