We are looking for a skilled Cook to join our dynamic team on the beautiful West Coast of New Zealand. This role involves preparing and cooking high-quality meals, ensuring food safety, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for guests. Minimum 30 hours guarenteed.

Remuneration: $25–$27 per hour (depending on experience)

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Minimum 30 hours/week guaranteed)

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our diverse clientele, including tour groups, resort guests, and walk-in diners

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing and cooking meals according to set menus and quality standards

Assisting in menu planning and suggesting new dishes

Managing stock levels and ensuring ingredients are available for service

Following food safety and hygiene regulations, including the Food Control Plan

Keeping kitchen and workstations clean, organized, and sanitized

Reporting maintenance or stock issues to the Food & Beverage Manager

Ensuring efficient service by working collaboratively with the kitchen team

Maintaining a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

You will have at least 1 year of relevant experience or a level 4 qualification or higher (or overseas equivalent) in cookery,hospitality or a related field.

A willingness to learn and contribute to a professional kitchen environment is essential.

Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices prefered

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Willingness to adapt and take on additional kitchen duties as needed
