Job Description:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Planning and organizing special functions and arranging seating.
  • Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
  • Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service.
  • Selecting, training and supervising waiting, bar and kitchen staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions.
  • Ensuring that correct food and beverage pricing and portioning are applied.
  • Developing menus in consultation with chefs.
  • Planning and supervising the application of budgets and financial controls.
  • Ensuring high standards of hygiene and customer service are maintained.

Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job

  • NZQF Diploma; OR
  • At least two years working experience in this industry
  • Work well in a team as well as individually
  • Be well-organized and able to multitask
  • Have strong Health and Safety awareness
  • Be physically fit
