Pay Rate: $29.00 – $31.00 per hour (depending on skills and experience)

Minimum Hours: 30 hours per week (rostered shifts includig weekends and public holidays)
About the Hotel
Holiday Inn Queenstown Frankton Road is a premium international hotel operating under the globally recognised Holiday Inn brand. The hotel delivers high-quality guest experiences supported by strong operational standards across accommodation, housekeeping, and food & beverage services.
We are currently seeking three experienced Hotel Service Supervisors to join our operations team. These roles are critical to ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining the high service standards expected of an international hotel brand.
About the Role
As a Hotel Service Supervisor, you will assist hotel management in supervising daily operational activities, with a strong focus on housekeeping and guest room readiness while also supporting coordination across multiple hotel departments.
This is a hands-on supervisory role, requiring the ability to lead operational teams while actively assisting with service delivery where required.
You will supervise shift operations, ensure service standards are maintained, and support coordination between departments to ensure the hotel operates efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate daily hotel service operations during rostered shifts.
- Provide direction and guidance to housekeeping and hotel service staff.
- Allocate work assignments and monitor staff productivity and performance.
Housekeeping & Room Readiness
- Work alongside the housekeeping team to ensure guest rooms are serviced and prepared for arrivals.
- Conduct room inspections and quality assurance checks before guest check-in.
- Ensure stayover rooms and public areas meet brand cleanliness standards.
Quality Assurance & Guest Experience
- Ensure all services meet established hotel standards and brand guidelines.
- Respond to guest service requests and resolve operational issues during shifts.
- Support reception staff with room readiness coordination prior to arrivals.
Maintenance & Property Care
- Identify maintenance issues in guest rooms and public areas.
- Report maintenance requirements promptly to the engineering or maintenance team.
- Assist in monitoring the overall presentation and upkeep of the hotel.
Supplies & Inventory Control
- Monitor housekeeping supply levels and stock usage.
- Inform management of supply requirements.
- Ensure housekeeping trolleys and cleaning stations are fully stocked.
Multi-Department Coordination
- Assist with coordination across operational departments including:
- Housekeeping
- Laundry
- Front Office
- Restaurant and Bar operations
- Kitchen support services
- General hotel support services
Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure staff follow health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Monitor compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Report incidents and hazards in accordance with company procedures.
Skills & Experience Required
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in a housekeeping or hotel operations environment, preferably within a 4-star or international hotel property.
- Proven experience supervising or coordinating operational teams.
- Strong knowledge of hotel cleaning standards, chemicals, and equipment.
- Understanding of hotel property management systems and reservations systems (advantageous).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership ability.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high service standards.
- Physical fitness to perform the practical aspects of hotel service operations.
Work Conditions
- This role involves shift work, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Work may involve standing, lifting, and physical housekeeping duties when supporting operational teams.
- Supervisors are expected to maintain hands-on involvement in daily hotel operations.
