Job Opportunity: Experienced Bakers for FRENZY FOODS LIMITED T/A DECO CAKES in Otahuhu

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Bakers to join our team.

Position: Multiple positions available

Role Overview: The primary responsibility involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bakery department, ensuring the production of high-quality, freshly baked cakes. At least 2 years of baking experience in a retail bakery is preferred.

Job Details:

  • ·         Type: Permanent position, Minimum 32 and Maximum 40 hours per week (additional hours may be required based on production needs).
  • ·         Shift: Early Morning shift, starting from 3.00 AM  Wednesday to Sunday
  • ·         NZ $ 26.00 - $ 29.00 Per Hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • ·         Preparing frozen products for baking.
  • ·         Mixing and baking daily levels of all bakery products.
  • ·         Baking requires daily levels of cakes and other products.
  • ·         Preparing and assembling sandwiches according to customer orders.
  • ·         Managing the pastry/bakery section, including desserts, bread, and other baked goods.
  • ·         Producing various bakery-specific products as required.
  • ·         Inventory management for efficient operations.
  • ·         Weighing, shaping, moulding, cutting, and rolling the dough.
  • ·         Cutting and rolling the dough in different sizes by both hand and or machine
  • ·         Unloading the ovens, cooling down the bread, emptying trays and cleaning all baking trays after use
  • ·         Other tasks across the store as required.
  • ·         Strictly adhere to all company and national guidelines, regarding health and safety and food safety.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • ·         Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • ·         Knowledge of pastry field concepts and practices.
  • ·         Creativity and effective communication skills.
  • ·         Customer service-oriented with the ability to follow instructions.
  • ·         Commitment to teamwork, excellence, and a positive attitude.
  • ·         Ability to work competently under pressure, reliability, and flexibility.
  • ·         Notify supervisor of any technical faults or safety issues in relation to equipment used
