An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Administrator to join a healthcare team supporting community health services in Māngere, Auckland. This role plays an important part in ensuring patients receive coordinated, respectful and efficient healthcare services.
You will often be the first point of contact for patients and whānau, creating a welcoming environment while ensuring clinical administration processes run smoothly. About the Role
You will provide essential administrative support to the clinical team, helping manage patient bookings, coordinate interpreters, maintain accurate records, and support the daily operation of clinics.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient appointments, including walk-ins
- Arrange interpreter services for clinical consultations
- Maintain accurate patient records within clinical systems
- Provide professional reception and phone support
- Assist with patient enrolment and document preparation
- Liaise with clinical teams and external services
- Ensure confidentiality and data accuracy standards are maintained
About You - you wil bring:
- 2–3 years’ experience in health administration or medical reception
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
- Cultural awareness and empathy when working with diverse communities
Desirable:
- Experience in community health, general practice or urgent care
- Experience working with culturally diverse communities
- Experience using Indici or similar clinical systems
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, starting ASAP and running through to the end of June, with the potential for extension. Apply now to be considered.
