About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Solo Motel Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of Bay Watch Motor Lodge in Timaru. This role requires a motivated hospitality professional who can manage the property independently while maintaining high standards of guest service and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the motel independently

• Handle guest reservations, check-ins, and check-outs

• Manage online booking platforms and respond promptly to guest enquiries

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across all motel units

• Coordinate housekeeping and ensure rooms are prepared to a high standard

• Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction

• Perform administrative duties including reporting and record keeping

• Manage booking systems and ensure smooth daily operations

• Ensure the property runs efficiently and professionally at all times

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the motel or hospitality industry in a management position

• Ability to work independently as a solo manager

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Experience with GDS systems, online booking channels, and reservation platforms

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel and hospitality management software

• Highly organised, responsible, and trustworthy
