Newcare Health Clinic – Auckland

Newcare Health Clinic is an established health and wellness clinic located in Auckland, providing holistic healthcare services to the community. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Acupuncturist to join our professional clinical team.

This role involves assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and delivering acupuncture-based therapies to support patient recovery and wellbeing.

 

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assessing patients to determine the nature of their health concerns by conducting consultations, examinations, and observations
  • Diagnosing conditions and developing individualised treatment plans based on traditional Chinese medicine principles
  • Delivering acupuncture treatments by inserting fine needles to stimulate the body’s natural healing mechanisms
  • Applying complementary therapies such as cupping, tuina massage, and electro-acupuncture where appropriate
  • Monitoring, evaluating and documenting patients’ progress throughout treatment programmes
  • Providing dietary, lifestyle, and preventative health advice to patients
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards
  • Ensuring high standards of infection control, safety and clinical practice are maintained at all times
  • Communicating effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, expected outcomes and ongoing care

About You

To be considered for this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • A relevant qualification at NZQCF Level 7 or higher in a related field such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, or Chinese Medicine
  • At least one year of post-qualification work experience as an Acupuncturist
  • A valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) issued by the Chinese Medicine Council of New Zealand (CMCNZ) with a scope of practice as Chinese Medicine Practitioner (Acupuncturist)
  • Strong knowledge of acupuncture techniques and traditional Chinese medicine principles
  • Ability to assess patients and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • High level of professionalism and attention to clinical safety standards
