We’re seeking a committed Full-Time Barista to join our coffee shop in New Market, Auckland. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for coffee and hospitality who is ready to work a consistent and structured schedule.

Job Details:
• Full-time: Min 30 hours. Avg hours 45-50
• Pay rate: $24-$26 per hour
• Split shifts across mornings and afternoons/evenings
• 6-day roster, including weekends and public holidays

Duties include:

• Preparing high-quality espresso and milk-based beverages in a fast-paced setting
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station and front-of-house
• Opening and/or closing the coffee shop depending on roster
• Supporting general operations as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of barista experience in a commercial café setting
• Strong understanding of coffee extraction, milk texturing, and workflow
• The ideal candidate must be confident in latte art, including rosettas, tulips, and swans, with strong milk texturing skills using both dairy and plant-based alternatives. Free pour and etching experience is a plus
• Experience with specialty coffee brewing methods (e.g., pour-over, Chemex, V60) and/or Middle Eastern coffee styles (e.g., Arabic, Turkish) will be highly regarded
• Physically fit and comfortable with long hours on your feet
• Flexible with availability and reliable with timekeeping
• Must be able to work weekends and handle busy periods without supervision
