What We Offer:
Location: Timaru, Canterbury region
Hours: Minimum of 30 hours per week
Pay Rate: $25 – $35 per hour depending on experience
Rostered Shifts: Must be available to work weekends and according to a roster
Main Responsibilities:
· Overseeing daily housekeeping activities across rooms and common areas
· Ensuring cleanliness standards meet organisational and regulatory requirements
· Inspecting rooms, public areas, and facilities for quality control
· Recruiting, training, and supervising housekeeping staff
· Preparing staff rosters and allocating duties
· Monitoring staff performance and providing feedback
· Managing stock levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities
· Ordering and maintaining inventory within budget
· Ensuring proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals
· Monitoring departmental expenses and controlling costs
· Preparing budgets related to housekeeping operations
· Responding to guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping
· Coordinating with front office and maintenance teams
· Ensuring timely room readiness for check-in
· Maintaining housekeeping records and reports
· Managing lost property procedures
· Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
Requirements:
· Minimum of 2-year relevant work experience, or a Level 4 or higher qualification in Business Management or related field
· Strong work ethic and dedication to delivering high-quality food
· Understanding and adherence to health, safety, and operational protocols
· Professionalism, punctuality, and reliability
