We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily
operations of our Japanese Restaurant and Takeaway in Te Puke, Bay of Plenty. This is a
full-time permanent position for a minimum of 30 hours a week, with additional hours
available if required. The hourly wages are offered from $28.00 to $32.00 based on the skills
and experience. The role requires leadership, organisation, and strong customer service skills
in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:
 Manage day-to-day restaurant operations including dine-in and takeaway services
 Plan menus in consultation with chef
 Supervise and coordinate front-of-house and kitchen staff
 Ensure high standards of customer service and food quality
 Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory
 Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback
 Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
 Prepare staff rosters and manage shift scheduling
 Monitor sales, costs, and daily cash reconciliation
 Train and support staff to maintain performance standards

Candidate requirements
 At least 2–3 years of relevant experience or a relevant qualification
 Strong leadership and communication skills
 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
 Experience in Japanese cuisine or sushi operations preferred
