Cafe Assistant

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, take accurate food and beverage orders, and provide menu recommendations where required
• Prepare and serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring all orders are presented neatly and meet quality standards
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, cutting, measuring, and mixing ingredients in accordance with recipes and food safety standards
• Manage seating arrangements, coordinate reservations, and maintain smooth customer flow within the premises
• Process customer payments accurately using POS systems, including handling cash, EFTPOS, and credit card transactions
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene by cleaning food preparation areas, service areas, cooking surfaces, utensils, and dining spaces
• Clear, reset, and organise tables, chairs, and counters to ensure a clean and welcoming environment
• Stock, replenish, and monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies, including assisting with ordering and receiving deliveries
• Coordinate and arrange delivery or takeaway orders, ensuring accuracy and timely service
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations at all times
• Assist with opening and closing duties as required
• Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by the Manager or Director

Candidate Requirements:

• Be physically fit

• Ability to commute to work with reliable travel as the store operates 7 days a week.

Work Experience :

• Relevant work experience preferred but not mandatory for the positions. On the job training will be provided.

Hours and Position: -

• It is full time permanent job with minimum 30 hours per week.

Pay Rate: -

• $24 per hour
