Role: Cook
Permanent full time
The role is full-time and permanent with a pay of $25 per hour to $30 per hour.

Minimum 30 hours per week to maximum of 40 hours per week. 

The key responsibilities include: -

  • Prepare and cook dishes, season, and preserve foods.
  • Assist in planning and developing of menus.
  • Ensure that all appliances are in working condition by ensuring they meet all applicable laws.
  • Ensure the quality of foods before they leave the kitchen.
  • Always maintain safe and clean work environment and enforcing hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Ensure that recipes and proportions are followed precisely to maintain consistency, quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Completes all opening and closing duties for assigned workstation.
  • Knowledge about Pastas, steaks, Burgers and Indian cuisine is preferable.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment.
  • Must be flexible with work timings.
  • Must be open to work till late night in kitchen.
  • Must be physically fit to work in the kitchen.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and managing food control plan.

Minimum one year experience in Kitchen environment or relevant qualification such as Level 2 in Cookery, hospitality or hotel management. To apply for this role, you must be a NZ citizen/resident or have valid work rights in NZ.
