Impression Restaurant is located in the heart of Dunedin. Our restaurant offers authentic Chinese cuisine in an elegant and relaxing setting. Now we are looking for 1 cooks to join our kitchen. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Addressing the special dietary needs of guests while ensuring cooking and service quality standards are met.
  • Doing pre-cooking tasks, such as adjusting cooking equipment temperatures.
  • Applying seasoning and sauces during the cooking process, and plate dishes upon completion.
  • Adhering strictly to health and safety requirements set by both the restaurant and relevant authorities.
  • Supporting chefs in training kitchen staff and apprentices
  • Storing food in a way that prevents spoilage.
  • Performing any additional duties requested by the head chef or manager.

About you:

  • At least one year of relevant work experience in the hospitality industry is
    required, Or a relevant qualification at NZQCF Level 4 or higher. No
    specific major is required if the candidate holds a bachelor's degree or
    higher.
  • Excelent understanding of food hygiene guidelines.
  • Excelent time management skils and ability to work efficiently.
  • Passion for Asian cuisine and dedication to delivering an authentic dining experience to customers.
  • Excelent communication skils within a team.
