We are seeking a motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team. Great opportunity for right canditate. 

Key Responsibilities:

Planning menus in consultation with chefs, including for groups and special event & parties menus.

Planning and organising special functions, events, and food festivals.


Managing day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure smooth service.


Arranging purchasing, pricing, and inventory control in line with budget.


Maintaining records of stock levels, financial transactions, and supplies.


Ensuring compliance with health, safety, food control, and legal regulations.


Supervising, training, and coordinating waiting and kitchen staff.


Preparing staff rosters and managing timesheets for payroll processing.


Managing banking, cashiering, and financial procedures.


Interacting with customers to assess satisfaction and handle feedback/complaints.


Taking reservations, greeting guests, and assisting with service as required.


Maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the restaurant is functional and presentable.

Making sure business complies with legal, health & safety regulations.

Overseeing operations in the absence of the director or senior management. 

Maintaining Food records as per requirement of Food Control Plan.

Follow any instructions & directions given my director or any representative appointed.

Assist kitchen staff if needed.

Eligible to work in New Zealand, should have valid visa or residence permit.

 

Job Details:
Location: Christchurch, New Zealand.                                                                                                  Employer: D&D Cuisines Ltd.
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent.
Hours: Minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week.
Work Schedule: Between 11:30 AM and 10:00 PM, including weekends and public holidays as required.
Pay Rate: $27 to $35 per hour (depending on skills and experience).

Minimum Requirements:
NZQF Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) in Hospitality Management
OR
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in restaurant management or a similar role.

Able to work evenings, weekends & split shifts.

Good understanding of restaurant operation & customer service.


Skills and Attributes:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and compliance requirements.
Ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions.
Knowledge of Indian cuisine and customer dietary requirements is preferred. Knowledge of Indian food is important to make recommendations, to make sure customers dietary needs etc are taken care of while making a recommendation.
