We are a Wellington based Chinese restaurant providing authentic A La Carte Chinese cuisine. Now we are looking for 2 Cooks. 

Job duties of the position offered

• examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
• regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
• preparing and cooking food
• seasoning food during cooking
• portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
• storing food in temperature controlled facilities
• preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
• may plan menus and estimate food requirements
• may train other kitchen staff and apprentices

Requirements of the position offered

- NZQF Level 3 or higher qualification in the field of cooking, or at least 1 year relevant work expeirence is required

- Be available to work on weekends and public holidays as per the roster

- Flexibility to work within a 7-Days a week operation including split shifts

- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with good communication skills and team spirit

- Able to work till late evenings

- Can pass drug test and have a clean police record
