An opportunity is available for an experienced Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join a supportive team within the mental health sector based in Takapuna.

This is a fast-paced, people-focused role where your empathy and communication skills will be highly valued. You’ll be the first point of contact for a wide range of individuals, playing a key role in supporting both patients and clinicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet patients, creating a welcoming and supportive environment
  • Manage incoming calls, including providing initial support and directing crisis calls appropriately
  • Process referrals and ensure accurate information capture
  • Update and maintain patient records
  • Liaise with clinicians and provide administrative support
  • General ad hoc administrative duties

About You:

  • Previous reception or administration experience (medical or health sector preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, empathetic approach
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in sensitive situations
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ideally some exposure to mental health environments
