About us

We are looking for a Motel Manager for our motel located in Hastings, Hawkes Bay region. With a guarantee of minimum of 30 hours per week with competitive rates between $28 and $35p/h depending on your skills. You will be working as per the roster hence flexibility is essential in this role.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Assist clients to check in and check out, providing porter service and concierge if need
  • Receiving and processing hotel reservations through our Channel Management System and help boosting sales
  • Monitoring inventory and ordering supplies as needed
  • Supervise housekeeping team finish daily task on a quality and timely manners
  • Maximising room yield and revenue through innovative sales practices.
  • Managing our housekeeping team in day-to-day operations and taking pride in the appearance of the property.
  • Excellent, high quality customer service, ensuring positive guest experiences
  • Understanding of current Health & Safety obligations, ensuring the Hotel is fully compliant to the policies, procedures, and Service Standards
  • Providing quality coffee beverages consistently to guests in a timely manner

Qualifications & experience

  • Required atleast minimum of two years’ experience or a relevant diploma or above in hospitality, management, business or commerce or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, manage budgets, and achieve financial targets
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Conference and Events, and Maintenance
  • Attention to detail and have good time management skills
  • Be able to lift/carry medium to heavy objects
  • Be confident working on their own
  • Be a good communicator
  • Barista Certificate would be an advantage
