A Twizel – based Thai restaurant has two positions of full-time Thai Restaurant Manager available.
Requirements

At least 1 year of related work experience OR

At least a related NZ Register Diploma Level 5 qualification may substitute for the experience OR

a Licence Controller Qualification approved by NZQA and A manager's certificate from the Auckland Council

Must have knowledge of Thai food ingredients, as we take food allergies seriously
Job Descriptions

Plan and develop menus in consultation with chefs, ensuring menu offerings align with customer preferences, seasonal availability, and the restaurant’s business objectives.

Organise and manage special functions and events held at the restaurant, including coordinating staffing, service arrangements, and customer requirements.

Arrange the purchasing and ordering of food, beverages, and restaurant supplies, and determine pricing of menu items in accordance with budget requirements and profitability targets.

Maintain records of stock levels, purchasing activities, and financial transactions to support efficient inventory and cost control.

Ensure all dining, kitchen, and food preparation areas comply with health, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations and are maintained in a clean, safe, and presentable condition.

Monitor the quality of food and service provided to customers, address customer feedback and complaints, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Recruit, select, train, and supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff to maintain high standards of service and operational performance.

Prepare and manage staff rosters and coordinate daily operations to ensure the efficient running of the restaurant.

Manage reservations, greet and assist guests, and support service operations during busy periods when required.

Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality service and an authentic Thai dining experience in accordance with the restaurant’s standards.

This is a full-time and permanent position

Wage payment is $25 - $35 per hour, depending on your skills and experience

You will be paid weekly

Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law

You will be working at 1 Market Place, Twizel

We are open from Monday to Sunday, Lunch 11.00 am - 2.30 pm, Dinner 4.30 pm – 8.30 pm.

You will work according to a roster 5 - 6 days each week with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours).
