Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Present menus and provide detailed information about dishes, ingredients, and specials
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly and ensure correct orders are delivered
- Check on customers during their meal to ensure satisfaction
- Handle customer complaints or concerns politely and efficiently
- Prepare tables by setting up linens, cutlery, and glassware
- Process bills and handle payments (cash, card, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not always required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment
- Good physical stamina (standing, walking, carrying trays)
- Basic math skills for handling payments
