What We Offer:
· Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week it’s a Full-time permanent Role
· Hourly pay rate between $28 and $35, depending on experience and performance
· Flexible work hours based on a rotating roster – evening and weekend availability is essential
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
· regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
· preparing and cooking food
· seasoning food during cooking
· portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
· storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
· preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
· may train other kitchen staff and apprentices
Essential skills and attributes required:
· Experience working in a relevant cooking environment is highly desirable
· Willingness to learn and be upward moving is essential.
· Naturally enjoys being around people and contributing to a positive work environment.
· Efficient, accurate and a strong appreciation for following systems
· Consistent performance no matter the pressure
· Good communication skills
· Applicants must have at least two years of relevant experience or a Level 4 (certificate) or higher qualification in cookery, hospitality or any other relevant field.
