General Manager/Administration Officer

As we enter a phase of strategic growth, we are seeking a visionary General Manager to lead our operations and drive commercial success.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic person to oversee all aspects of our business operations. The General Manager will be responsible for executing the company’s vision, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring that the authentic flavours we deliver reach our customers with consistency and excellence.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Operations

Develop and implement business strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the ethnic foods sector.

Oversee end-to-end operations, including import logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and last-mile distribution.

Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, import/export laws, and customs clearance protocols.
Sales & Business Development

Lead the sales team to penetrate new markets while strengthening relationships with existing retailers, grocery chains, and Hotel/Restaurant/Supermarket clients.

Identify emerging trends in the Indian food category to introduce new products that meet consumer demand.

Negotiate contracts with major distributors and key accounts.
Supply Chain & Procurement

Manage relationships with suppliers and producers in India to ensure the highest quality of spices and food products.

Optimize supply chain efficiency to reduce lead times, manage freight costs, and maintain optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Financial Management & P&L

Oversee the company’s P&L, budgeting, and financial forecasting.

Analyze cost structures (freight, duties, warehousing) to maximize margins while maintaining competitive pricing.

Implement cost-control measures without compromising product authenticity or quality.
Team Leadership

Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team across sales, operations, and administration.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant filed or minimum three years of administration experience.

Proven track record in managing teams and offices settings
Skills & Competencies:

Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive sales growth and manage complex vendor relationships.

Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.

Analytical: Proficiency in using ERP systems and data analytics to drive inventory and operational decisions.

Cultural Competence: Ability to navigate cross-cultural business environments is highly advantageous.
