This role would be an excellent opportunity for a results-driven, self-motivated individual looking to further their career as a Baker.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading pre-shift inspections of all equipment and premises to ensure a sterile, safe environment compliant with OHS standards.
- Overseeing raw material quality control, including precise weighing and scaling of ingredients to maintain recipe consistency.
- Managing the full baking process—kneading, maturing, cutting, and molding dough for our signature breads and pastries.
- Crafting high-quality pastry sweet and savoury fillings and executing final touches.
- Monitoring temperatures and bak cycles with precision to ensure perfect crust, colour and crumb every time.
- Streamlining the flow of the kitchen by coordinating batch loading and unloading to meet daily deadlines.
- Expertly operating industrial rolling, molding, and cutting machinery for high-volume biscuit and dough production.
- Ensuring all baking trays, tins, and tools are properly cleaned, greased, and maintained for the next production run.
Your guaranteed minimum hours per week will be 30, but with the opportunity to work more depending on demand.
What we are looking for is:
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience with a solid knowledge of baking principles
- A relevant trades qualification may be considered in lieu of work experience at the owner's discretion
- Reliability and flexibility to work weekdays or weekends as required.
