About the role 

• NIRVAAN HOLDINGS LIMITED is seeking an experienced and motivated Venue Manager to oversee the overall  day-to-day operations of its TAB gaming lounge in Manawatu-Whanganui. 

• This is a management role responsible for staff coordination, customer service, stock control, cash handling,  venue presentation, compliance, and operational performance. 

Key responsibilities 

• Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the TAB gaming lounge. 

• Supervise staff and coordinate daily workflow to ensure smooth venue operations. 

• Recruit, train, support, and supervise staff members. 

• Prepare staff rosters and monitor staffing levels according to business needs. 

• Ensure high standards of customer service and handle customer concerns professionally. • Monitor the presentation, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the venue. 

• Manage stock ordering, stock levels, and supply arrangements for the venue. 

• Maintain records of stock, sales, and financial transactions. 

• Assist with budgeting, cost control, pricing, and business performance monitoring. 

• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and venue policies. 

• Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, gaming, and other applicable operational requirements.

• Monitor cash handling, opening and closing procedures, and daily reconciliations. 

• Support promotions, special events, and operational improvements. 

• Work closely with the business owner to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

Skills and experience required 

• Applicants must hold an NZQF Level 5 qualification or higher: OR 

• Applicants must have at least two years of relevant work experience in hospitality, licensed premises, gaming  lounge, bar, or venue management.

• Sound understanding of stock control, cash handling, and daily venue operations.
